  • Ashley Dolan, Psy.D.

    DIRECTOR

    New Narratives was founded by Dr. Ashley Dolan, a licensed Clinical Psychologist. After completing her undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, Dr. Dolan received her master’s and doctorate degrees from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. During her doctoral program, she received extensive training in a group practice, university counseling center, and inpatient hospital. She then completed her APA-Accredited Internship at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and her Postdoctoral Fellowship at Manhattanville College. She worked for IMA Group in New York City providing organizational assessments before relocating to Chicago where she opened New Narratives. With a deep passion for fostering healthy interpersonal relationships, she is dedicated to helping individuals overcome obstacles that may be hindering them from leading fulfilling lives. She also takes great joy in mentoring and supervising psychology professionals at all stages of their careers, helping them build the skills and confidence to thrive in their practice.

  • Gioia Pirrello, Psy.D.

    POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW

    Gioia Pirrello is a pre-licensed clinical postdoctoral fellow. She completedher undergraduate education at Bennington College, after which she received her master’s and doctorate degrees from Adler University. During her doctoral program, she received training in an inpatient hospital, university counseling center, and private group practice. She then completed her APA-accredited internship at Shared Vision Psychological Services in Oakbrook, Illinois. She brings a curiosity, openness, and sense of play into her work with clients to help them gain greater insight into themselves and their histories.

  • Kirthana Devarakonda, M.S.

    PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATE

    Kirthana is a pre-licensed Psychological Associate at New Narratives and brings a global perspective to her practice. She earned her first master’s degree in Cambridge, UK, focusing on the impact of childhood experiences on adulthood. After working as a therapist in India, she moved to Chicago, where she is completing a CACREP-accredited master’s degree at The Chicago School and an APA-accredited internship at Anixter Center. With authenticity, compassion, and multicultural curiosity at the core of her work, Kirthana integrates traditional therapeutic modalities with art and movement, tailoring her approach to each individual's needs. Passionate about continuous learning, she creates a dynamic and personalized space for healing and growth. In addition to English, she speaks Hindi and Telugu.
